Greyhead is an independent consultancy working exclusively with charities, membership bodies and others in the NfP sector.

Iain specialises in information systems advice and guidance for organisations in the not-for-profit organisations.

Iain has more than 35 years’ experience in the industry, having started in a software house and then trained as a consultant with KPMG.

Iain has held senior management positions both in charities, such as The Children's Society and The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust, and in the commercial sector, where he was International Group IT Director for the Random House book publishing group.

Iain was one of the founding partners at Adapta Consulting before establishing Greyhead and draws on his deep and wide-ranging personal experience of the sector to guide trustees, senior manages and teams to develop achievable strategies for IT and Digital. 

Iain's technical background means he can combine a full appreciation of the technical and commercial issues facing organisations in the sector with an understanding of the culture and context which frames decision-making.

Iain has helped ActionAid UK, The King’s Fund, Girlguiding UK, The Overseas Development Institute, Macmillan Cancer Support, Oxfam UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s charity, UNICEF UK, National Autistic Society, Alzheimer’s Society, CAFOD, Christian Aid, Shelter and many other organisations.

Iain is a senior figure in the sector and is regularly asked to share his expectations, hopes and fears for the sector at key charity events.
